Crisis warhead review

Crisis warhead is an expansion to the original crisis the story takes place at the same time as the original crisis but you play as Michel Psyches or Psych and his battles on the crisis 1 island. The game is focused more on action making the game faster in pace but it still gives you the chance to juggle all the powers and you often have more ai teammates either other members of the nanosuit program or marines. The games intro movie gives you a very good description of the game that is a fantastic fast paced musical score and lots of explosions this will become abundantly clear in the final stages of the game where you are in huge open areas fighting what appears to be a full scale war and you will have to utilise all weapons and vehicles available to survive.
One of the most brilliant things that people loved about the original crisis is the graphics although for most people it was almost impossible to play the game on the highest settings and get a smooth ride, in warhead I didn’t notice and improvement in the graphics but I did find that the game did run a lot better with less jolts and freezes when you got to a checkpoint.
Some new things to arrive is more weapons there is a new type of pistol is described as a micro machine gun and like the pistol it can be duel wielded but instead of using the left mouse button to control both guns warhead now uses the left mouse button to control the left gun and the right the right gun which worked fine for me but for others who don’t use the right mouse button to zoom will find some problems and the button can’t be remapped. There is also a 6 shot grenade launcher which was cool but I only found it on two levels one being the second or third the other being the last.
Crisis warhead defiantly has bigger set pieces for example once the island is iced over you will fight a giant alien walker which takes a lot of firepower to gun down and there is a big surprise at the end that does justice to crisis ones epic ending fight.
My final verdict on crisis warhead is a 9/10 I thoroughly enjoyed the experience far more then crisis ones but at the end I felt that the game was a bit short it ramps up the story of Psych well but i would have liked to see more levels among that and the control scheme but apart from those two problems I couldn’t fault it. I will be doing a review of crisis one and possibly the multiplayer component that comes with warhead called crisis wars.
